Trailer Park Podcast #82

Join Chelsea, Nathan, Amanda, Daniel and the Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 82! We check out the final entry in the Caesar trilogy with War for the Planet of the Apes and the Intern gets excited enough to poop in his hands and fling it around the room. Lady Macbeth is a movie inspired by the Shakespearean "fictional" character about a scheming, evil woman. Death Note is the fulcrum for TPP 82 but will it serenade Daniel like a siren of horror or fall on deaf ears? Spiderman Homecoming appears to be playing on words with the whole reboot and prom thing and there is only one thing that Chelsea loves more than wordplay, and that's Spiderman. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets rounds out the lineup and looks so good it could have been the headliner! Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #81

Join Daniel, Amanda, Nathan, Chelsea and The Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 81! We explore the world of Baby Driver and music being choreographed with action sequences. The House could be another movie that only Daniel and Amanda like and everyone else doesn't. The fulcrum is not a horror movie but it is horrifying, will Daniel still feel meh? Okja stars Jake Gyllenhaal and that's honestly all you really need to know. The Little Hours has filthy nuns and righteous priests so it is kind of like reality looking in the mirror no? Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

TRAILER PARK PODCAST #80

Join us for Trailer Park Podcast 80 as we welcome some new blood. Nathan, Daniel, Amanda, The Intern and honored guest Cordell weigh in on the reboot of The Mummy starring everyone's favorite Operating Thetan Tom Cruise and the launch of the Dark Cinematic Universe. The Bad Batch could be an alternate name for the cast of Trailer Park Podcast but it is also a movie about a dystopian cannibal cult and Keanu Reeves appears to be leading it while sporting a mustache and wearing a housecoat. The fulcrum is called Replace as in replacing... your skin; with other people's skin. Rough Night looks like an all female reboot of Very Bad Things and could be a very good thing. Finally, The Beguiled rounds out the lineup and is a second attempt to adapt the novel by Thomas Cullinan about a wounded soldier that is taken in by a group of women and it leads to an "unexpected turn of events" which we interpret as "how much action does he get and how much does it cost him". Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #79

Join us for Trailer Park Podcast 79! Amanda, Chelsea, Nathan, Daniel and the Intern debate the merits of the DC smear campaign conspiracy and whether Wonder Woman will finally lasso the truth. Will Baywatch suck? Will we still like it anyway? It Comes at Night might sound like it's describing the inappropriate behavior of an exhibitionist but it's actually the fulcrum and it looks terrifying. Can you imagine walking out on your life and vanishing? Wakefield can and it looks fascinating. Brad Pitt and Netflix bring us War Machine and it looks like it's bringing some much needed levity to the genre. Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #78

Join the gang for Trailer Park Podcast #78! We know it's been said before and it may or may not have been true but this episode could be the greatest lineup we've ever done. We check out the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.  Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri starring Frances Mcdormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell slots into the number two slot. The fulcrum is basically a headliner on its own in Alien Covenant. Mindhorn can see truth and is releasing in the UK first with follow up distribution on Netflix. Our final trailer stars Tom Hanks and Daniel's favorite actress, Emma Watson. Don't forget to stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #77

Join us for Trailer Park Podcast 77 and discover the fate of our family. Chelsea, Nathan, Daniel, Amanda and The Intern make haste and furiously discuss the 8th installment in the mighty street racing franchise that has somehow become a satisfying blockbuster action cheese fest raking in billions of dollars. Free Fire is a 90 minute gun fight in a warehouse and it doesn't look like it's capable of passing the bechdel test even though Brie Larson is "marvel"ous. The Void is our fulcrum and it hints at some satisfying execution. Colossal comes to us from the director of Time Crimes and produced some mixed reactions that may or may not come back to bite certain people in the ass. The Lost City of Z rounds out the lineup and appears to have promise that is pregnant with hesitation and reservation, don't want to get too excited because these movies have a habit of disappointment. Don't forget to stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #76

Join Daniel, Nathan, Chelsea, Ivan and the Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 76! We talk Life in space and how old a Doctor should be who leads the expedition to discover it and if that Doctor is played by Jake Gyllenhaal whether it really even matters. It's 20 years later and another Trainspotting movie has arrived with the same cast, the same director and the same title as Terminator 2. The Belko Experiment balances the lineup as our fulcrum for 76 and it's written by James Gunn, produced by James Gunn and "Slithers" it's way toward full blown excitement on TPP. We also check out Wilson starring Woody Harrelson and Daniel accidentally describes the image on the poster without ever having seen it before. Scarlet Johansson kicks some ass as The Major in the live action rendition of Ghost in the Shell and we all weigh in on the whole animation to live action trend going on and how it could impact the appreciation of the original. We also pay tribute to Bill Paxton and feel free to stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #75

Join Nathan, Daniel, Amanda and The Intern for Trailer Podcast 75! Kong: Skull Island is our headliner and we ask what comes to mind when pondering a 100 foot tall gorilla. If you guessed how big his penis is then you are right on the money and you'll probably be surprised at how small it is. I don't feel at home in this world anymore. How many movie titles can stand alone as their own sentence? the Grand Jury Prize winner from Sundance does it and is also the first movie from Netflix to make a TPP lineup. The fulcrum for this episode is a movie about a girl who transitions into a cannibal. "Raw" apparently had people requiring medical attention at the premiere, hopefully no one ate anyone. The Discovery is another film that premiered at Sundance and is also being distributed by Netflix. The Discovery is about a world where tons people are committing suicide because the afterlife has been proven to exist. The lineup finishes with Logan, the final appearance of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in one of the more recent and most anticipated comic book story line adaptations to enter the super hero movie craze. Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #74

Join Daniel, Nathan, Amanda, Ivan and the Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 74! Our headliner for this episode is China starring Matt Damon, Willem Dafoe and the guy who got his face exploded by the Mountain in Game of Thrones. Visionary director Gore Verbinski brings us A Cure for Wellness, the gang is in full agreement that it's been too long since the last Verbinski film and we all can't wait for more Gore. The fulcrum for 74 is an anthology called XX which showcases only female horror directors and has the magic number of four which Tales of the Crypt proved is the proper number for an anthology so there is plenty of hope that at least one of them will be good. Get Out is a thriller horror movie and appears to be a guess who's coming to dinner racial tension movie from the mind of Peele from Key & Peele, God knows we love racial tension on this show so the excitement is palpable. Tulip Fever rounds out the lineup and really strikes a chord with Daniel and transforms him during episode 74 as he dives into this offering written by Tom Stoppard, the famous playwright who brought us Shakespeare in Love. Daniel actually sheds a tear as the music and period costumes fill his heart with hope and wonder (fart noise). We also talk celebrity death and lay down some new rules for the Burden List. The Intern also does something but I forget what it was so you'll just have to listen.

Trailer Park Podcast #73

Join us for Trailer Park Podcast #73! After much deliberation we have decided that January doesn't have much to offer so we look to the future. John Wick Chapter Two headlines and Nathan, Daniel, Amanda, Chelsea and The Intern are obviously excited. Who is excited and who is worried about Lego Batman, Split, Detour and Silence? You must listen to find out. We also take a look back at the biggest bombs at the box office in 2016 and ponder what will bomb in 2017. Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #72

Merry Christmas from Trailer Park Podcast! In episode 72 Nathan and Daniel are joined by Chelsea, Amanda and The Intern as they deliberate over the Ultimate Trailer Park Podcast lineup for 2016! Our headliner is the new J-Law and Pratt film called Passengers, a science fiction movie about waking up from cryo sleep in space too soon and how sexy and stylish that can be. Fences stars future Academy Award winner Viola Davis and possibly about to be 3 time Oscar winner Denzel Washington. The Autopsy of Jane Doe is our fulcrum and comes to us from the director of Troll Hunter and he's also Norwegian, let me say that again. Norwegian. Troll. Hunter. 20th Century Women is manipulating us with Annette Benning and Billy Crudup's charm along with A24's logo which immediately changes our expectations, this could be an aimless journal of the human experience and that's just fine if it is. Gold starring Matthew McConaughey looks to be pulling the loser thinks he's a winner but ends up a loser story which is sort of like The Intern's if you take out the middle part. Stick around for the Burden List and The Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #71

Everyone is on board for Trailer Park Podcast seventy one! We have Daniel, Nathan, Amanda, Chelsea, Ivan and yes even The Intern. We check out Rogue One: A Star Wars story and discuss going rogue and what it takes to be a gentleman maverick. Frank & Lola is our second trailer and it looks like it should have been called Frank & that girl he's obsessed with that does porn on the side and acts super aloof all the time. The fulcrum is Pet starring the 2nd or 3rd ranked hobbit from Lord of the Rings who locks up a girl in a box and she starts turning the tables on him psychologically which Ivan confirms does happen in that scenario? Jackie starring Natalie Portman looks amazing and it is going to fucking execute and Daniel can take his worried and shove it up his ass. Assassin's Creed looks awful enough to three "ass's" in its name... like Assassassin's Creed. Stick around for the roundtable, the Burden List and The Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #70

Join Daniel, Nathan, Amanda and The Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 70! Yes, it's another milestone here at Trailer Park Podcast as we continue to crush numbers and destroy the competition. In this episode we pay tribute to the movie musical as we deliberate whether La La Land has a shot at becoming a celebrated original movie musical. Speaking of Unicorns and other mystical beasts how about Dwayne Johnson? Moana has arrived and even though it appears to missing a villain like Zootopia it will probably get 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and make tons of money anyway just like Zootopia. Incarnate is our fulcrum starring Aaron Eckhart and some of us think it has negative scale potential and that it feels like it could become a classic 80's style hokey horror but some of us do not, some of us side with the Intern against their girlfriend and blood relatives. Office Christmas Party looks like a satisfying contribution to the assortment of festive movies that fill our hearts with joy every winter. Zemeckis is back with Allied starring Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt... let me say that again... Zemeckis, Cotillard, Pitt. Stick around for the Roundtable, the Intern Archive Update and things get a little heated during the Burden List.

Trailer Park Podcast #69

Thank you for joining us again for another episode of Trailer Park Podcast. Tonight is episode 69 and it is special for a few reasons. The first reason is that the lineup is book ended by movies involving Denis Villeneuve and Jake Gyllenhaal which basically means Nathan is filled with warmth and hope for the duration.  The second reason is that there is no Burden List segment for episode 69. If you listen to one side they may weave a magnificent tale of good and evil and this fiction involves an act of betrayal that forces us to walk this path that ultimately leaves you, our fans, wanting more.  However, the other side will simply offer you a heartfelt apology and hope that this does not tarnish our reputation as gentlemen.  Ivan and The Intern join Nathan and Daniel as we check out Arrival, Manchester by the Sea, The Monster, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk and Nocturnal Animals.  Stick around for the Roundtable and the Intern Archive Update.

Trailer Park Podcast #68

Join us for the Trailer Park Podcast 68! Our second annual all horror lineup sees Daniel finally take the reigns as the primary host of TPP. Nathan, Amanda, Chelsea and The Intern are lurking in the darkness as well as we check out The Greasy Strangler whose son eerily reminds us of the Intern. The Love Witch has that stylized 70's goodness that we rarely get to embrace anymore. The Eyes of My Mother looks to be a possible genre gem.  Ouija: Origins of Evil has a colon in the title but let's be honest, it's a god damn board game... how excited can you be really? Fear Inc. hints at a tropey horror version of The Game and who wouldn't get excited about that? I'll tell you who... fucking fuddy duddies, that's who.  We also have a little fun making a horror movie about The Intern as the victim of home invasion. Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update... if you dare (makes childish spooky noise and backs away slowly).

Trailer Park Podcast #67

Join Nathan, Daniel, Amanda, Ivan and The Intern for Trailer Park Podcast 67! Doctor Strange has arrived and by the Sweet Sirens of Sad Sack we're excited to shout incantations, summon power from other dimensions and we even transform the Intern into a Manservant for the episode. King Cobra is a clever metaphor for a penis and it's also a movie about murder and betrayal in the porn industry.  Shut In is our horror fulcrum, can Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay and the brother from Stranger Things win Daniel over? Hacksaw Ridge is directed by Mel Gibson and he looks to be continuing his comeback with a strong offering about a war hero who refuses to use a weapon. American Pastoral is directed by and stars Ewan McGregor, Jennifer Connelly joins him as his wife with Dakota Fanning as their radical activist daughter that blows up their lives.  Stick around for the Burden List and the Intern Archive Update.
